CARLY KNOWLTON
Multi Media Journalist at WBTW News 13 in Myrtle Beach, SC
Hello! My name is Carly Knowlton and I am a recent graduate from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism with minors in Spanish and Digital Media Trends and Analytics from Drexel Hill, PA. I am currently a Multi Media Journalist at WBTW News 13 in Myrtle Beach, SC.
I had the opportunity to study abroad in Cádiz, Spain in 2022 and was also an intern at the Cannes Film Festival in France in 2023. Some of my experiences in journalism include being a news anchor, reporter, and producer for Centre County Report and Penn State Network News. I was also a Morning News Intern for PHL 17 in Philadelphia and was a Social Media Intern for PA Wedding Guide. During the school year I worked with Devon Review as a Social Media Intern, was a Senior Student Manager for Campus Recreation, a Group Fitness Instructor, and a Penn State Campus Tour Guide. On school breaks I worked at Aronimink Swim Club and Lilly Pulitzer. I love staying busy if you can't tell!
When I'm not reporting I enjoy creating content, traveling, working out, trying new restaurants, and relaxing at the beach! I am extremely hard working, dedicated, detail-oriented, and enjoy collaborating with others.
"It's all storytelling, you know. That's what journalism is all about."
